Ronald McDonald House near Advocate Children’s Hospital

4410 W. 93rd Street
Oak Lawn, IL 60453

The Ronald McDonald House near Advocate Children’s Hospital opened its doors in 2008 as the fourth Ronald McDonald House in the Chicagoland area. The House was designed as a “little house in the woods,” nestled in a grove of trees right across the street from Advocate Children’s Hospital.  Indigenous prairie grass flanks the east side of House, and a trickling pond offers soothing sounds in warm weather.

The House has 16 guest rooms, with private bathrooms and fully stocked linens, towels and toiletries.   Unique to the House are our four extended stay suites, with separate living and sleeping areas, for families who need to stay over 30 days.

Our House offers the following to provide care and comfort to our families:

  • Shared comfortable living spaces on several floors
  • Fun children’s play areas
  • Prepared meals provided by generous volunteers
  • Free Wi-Fi throughout the house
  • Laundry facilities with detergent
  • Meditation room
  • A one-of-a-kind handicapped accessible tree house
  • Library and business/computer center

Our families have the opportunity to participate in a variety of activities hosted by our volunteer groups.

Expanding our Services

Thanks to a generous gift from AbbVie to help expand the services provided by Ronald McDonald House, construction is underway on the House near Advocate Children’s Hospital to create five new guest bedrooms. The project, which will be completed in March 2019, will increase our capacity so that we can serve 21 families each night and keep more families with hospitalized children together. Through this gift, in 2019, we hope to provide 1,720 more family nights, across 100 families, saving them nearly 250,000 in lodging and amenities.

Parking & Shuttle Service
