Ronald McDonald House near Advocate Children’s Hospital
4410 W. 93rd Street
Oak Lawn, IL 60453
The Ronald McDonald House near Advocate Children’s Hospital opened its doors in 2008 as the fourth Ronald McDonald House in the Chicagoland area. The House was designed as a “little house in the woods,” nestled in a grove of trees right across the street from Advocate Children’s Hospital. Indigenous prairie grass flanks the east side of House, and a trickling pond offers soothing sounds in warm weather.
The House has 21 guest rooms, with private bathrooms and fully stocked linens, towels and toiletries. Unique to the House are our four extended stay suites, with separate living and sleeping areas, for families who need to stay over 30 days.
Our House offers the following to provide care and comfort to our families:
- Shared comfortable living spaces on several floors
- Fun children’s play areas
- Prepared meals provided by generous volunteers
- Free Wi-Fi throughout the house
- Laundry facilities with detergent
- Meditation room
- A one-of-a-kind handicapped accessible tree house
- Library and business/computer center
Our families have the opportunity to participate in a variety of activities hosted by our volunteer groups.
