Red Shoe Society Chicago (RSSC) is a group of motivated young Chicagoans whose goal is to support  Ronald McDonald House® near Lurie Children’s through fundraising, advocacy and service.


The mission of the Red Shoe Society Chicago (RSSC) is to support the Lurie House through fundraising, advocacy, and service. Our mission is to be social with a purpose!  We accomplish this mission through:

    – Hosting an annual Wine Social fundraising event

    – Cultivating and supporting other exciting fundraising opportunities for the House

    – Volunteering at the house through personal service and house activity nights

    – Ongoing education to the local community about our efforts and the charity’s mission


There are two types of membership:

FULL MEMBERSHIP: All new members will default as “Full Membership”. Requirements:

    – Attend at least 8 of 12 monthly meetings per year

    – Opportunity to hold a chair position

    – Contribute to our major fundraising event through one of the following ways:

                    – bring at least 5 attendees, or

                    – secure at least $250 (fmv) of items to be used as silent auction or raffle items, or

                    – give an additional $250 donation

    – Pay dues of $120 annually, or $10 per month


(2) AMBASSADOR MEMBERSHIP: In order to qualify for “Ambassador Membership” individuals must first serve on RSSC as a “Full Member” for at least one year.  Other Requirements:

    – Serve as an ambassador for Red Shoe Society Chicago

    – Attend two semi-annual meetings in February and August

    – Opportunity to participate in volunteer opportunities throughout the year, as well as attend all monthly meetings

    – Pay dues of $240 annual, or $20 per month
