Red Shoe Society of Chicago – Who We Are

Mission

Red Shoe Society Chicago (RSSC) is a group of motivated young Chicagoans whose purpose is to support Ronald McDonald House® near Lurie Children’s through fundraising, advocacy and service.

Our Mission is to be Social with a Purpose!

The Red Shoe Society Chicago will:

- Plan unique, engaging fund-raising events that are relevant to our audience and give them opportunities to make a difference within their own reach

- Educate others about the House being a source of strength and well-being for children and their families

- Volunteer our time to the daily operations and activities of the House

We accomplish this Mission through:

- Hosting two annual fund raising events; Wine Social (February); Battle of the Bags (Summer)

- Volunteering at the House through personal service and bi-monthly “Family Programs”

- Spreading awareness of RMHC-CNI’s mission as Red Shoe Society Chicago ambassadors by wearing a red shoe lapel pin and red gym shoes or heels to events throughout the Chicagoland area in an effort to educate the Chicagoland community.

There are two levels for involvement in Red Shoe Society Chicago:
