Our Mission

Red Shoe Society Chicago (RSSC) is a group of motivated young Chicagoans whose purpose is to support Ronald McDonald House® near Lurie Children’s through fundraising, advocacy and service. Our mission is to be Social with a Purpose!

Here are some of the different activities we plan together

- Plan unique, engaging fund-raising events that are relevant to our audience and give them opportunities to make a difference within their own reach

- Educate others about the House being a source of strength and well-being for children and their families

- Volunteer our time to the daily operations and activities of the House

How we accomplish our mission

- Host two annual fund raising events; Wine Social (February); Battle of the Bags (Summer)

- Volunteer at the House through personal service and bi-monthly “Family Programs”

- Spread awareness of RMHC-CNI’s mission as RSSC ambassadors by wearing a red shoe lapel pin and red gym shoes or heels to events throughout the Chicagoland area in an effort to educate the community.
