Blackbaud Data Breach
In May of 2020, an RMHC-CNI third-party data management vendor experienced a security breach, which has since been resolved. Per the vendor, encrypted sensitive identifiable information such as credit card and banking information was not compromised. The data impacted by the breach may include information, such as name, mailing address, email address, phone number, event participation, family night stays, as well as biographical details.
Based on the nature of the incident, the vendor’s research and third-party (including law enforcement) investigation, Blackbaud has stated they have no reason to believe that any data went beyond the cybercriminal, was or will be misused, or will be disseminated or otherwise made available publicly. Vendor officials are conducting investigations and monitoring the situation closely. Additional information on the incident may be found on Blackbaud’s website.
At this time, RMHC-CNI has no reason to believe that the data was further compromised or shared elsewhere. The protection and proper use of sensitive personal information of our stakeholders is important to RMHC-CNI and we will continue to take all necessary safeguards and precautions with your data.
