Over $1,000,000 Raised at Birthday Fundraiser and Annual Gala
During the week of April 22, Ronald McDonald House Charities of Chicagoland & Northwest Indiana celebrated two milestone events to recognize the tremendous impact we’ve had on children and their families – our Annual Gala and our 42nd birthday online fundraiser. Thanks to many generous gifts, over $1,000,000 was raised during these events, ensuring that families can continue to get better together through RMHC-CNI programs and services.
For 14 months, the Charity was able to be there for the Ybanez family, from then three-year-old Theresa’s admittance to UChicago Medicine Comer Children’s Hospital in January 2018 until her release in April 2019. Learn more about Theresa’s journey.
With a comfortable place to stay and a strong community around them, the Ybanez family was able to focus all of their energy on Theresa during her hospitalization – a gift of togetherness that we’ve been able to provide to every family who has utilized one of the five Chicagoland Ronald McDonald Houses, three Ronald McDonald Family Rooms, or two Ronald McDonald Care Mobiles.
