Kendall Coyne first heard about Ronald McDonald House Charities of Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana back in 2008 when Ronald McDonald House near Advocate Children’s Hospital opened in Oak Lawn. Being from a suburb only a few miles from the House, Kendall learned firsthand about the kind of support the House provides to families in need.

“I became more aware of Ronald McDonald Charities through my families involvement with the For Julie Foundation. Also, during my Olympic journey, Ronald McDonald House Charities supported me along the way. After the Olympics, I asked if I could visit the House and meet with the kids and their families. Through my visit at the Chicago House, realized I wanted become more involved with such a tremendous organization.”

“My favorite part about becoming involved with the charity has been seeing the kids. I enjoy seeing the smiles on their faces, and the smiles those smiles bring to the faces of their loved ones.”
