RMHC Family - 2

Helping a sick child fight their illness takes a big enough emotional toll on a family. Adding a financial strain can make it all almost too much to bear. Ronald McDonald House Charities of Chicagoland & Northwest Indiana (RMHC-CNI) can help address those problems, whether they involve housing that’s near a hospitalized child, the expense of staying together in another city, or even getting basic medical and care in a vulnerable community.

Making an Impact Locally

In 2014, RMHC-CNI is proud to share the following accomplishments:

– Broke ground on a fifth Ronald McDonald House near Central DuPage Hospital

Expanded our services to operate three Ronald McDonald Family Rooms

– Provided 38,000 “family nights” for the families of hospitalized children

– Provided services to almost 10,000 people (just over 5,000 families)

– Saved families a collective $11 million in housing and food costs

2,124 meals were served at our Ronald McDonald Houses

117,013 volunteer hours were contributed

729 family activities were provided at our Ronald McDonald Houses

– Served 2,500 children on our Ronald McDonald Care Mobile
