Ronald McDonald House near Advocate Children’s Hospital

Ronald McDonald House near Advocate Children’s Hospital opened its doors on December 15, 2008 as the fourth House in the Chicagoland area. The staff and volunteers of this 16 bedroom House are proud to have welcomed more than 600 families and served over 850 home-cooked meals. In addition, our wonderful family of volunteers have provided over 30,000 volunteer hours since we opened the House. 


Designed in the theme of a ‘house in the woods’, RMH near Advocate Children’s Hospital is nestled among trees and even has its own handicapped accessible tree house for kids of all ages to enjoy. Unique to this House are our four extended stay suites, with separate living and sleeping areas, for families who need to stay over 30 days.  The House is located right across the street from Advocate Children’s Hospital.

Ronald McDonald House near Advocate Children’s Hospital Teen Board 

The Teen Board is an opportunity for promising, service oriented students to learn about philanthropy and non-profit management.  Their mission is to raise awareness of and interest in Ronald McDonald House Charities of Chicagoland & Northwest Indiana throughout their school communities.  


Last year, the Teen Board raised $4,000 for their annual fundraiser. This year, we have 30 students from 12 different schools in the surrounding area!
