About “The Great Chicago Fire:”
In 1871, a fire broke out in the O’leary barn. The cause is unknown but the cow still gets the credit. In minutes, the fire was out of control. It engulfed the entire city which burned for two days until a rain storm put it out. The design starts with one cow and one lantern. The sparks fly and the buildings burn until the entire city is engulfed and just the Water Tower, the only structure to survive, is the only building seen in the flames.
