About Dana Parisi:
Dana Parisi grew up in Barrington, Illinois and currently lives in Chicago. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Studio Art from Lake Forest College. Art has been an integeral part of her life since she was young. Although she has been an active artist for many years, she has only recently begun to explore the realm of public art. Last summer she participated in a cultural arts project for the town of Batavia called Bulldogs Unleashed. This project featured 25 painted bulldog statues displayed around the town. One of the two bulldogs she painted won the ‘Best in Show’ peoples’ choice award. Following her work with Bulldogs Unleashed, she painted a mural for Batavia which is currently hanging on the Pamarco building next to Water Street Studios. Dana shows her work monthly at Flat Iron First Friday art shows at 1579 N. Milwaukee Ave, Chicago. You can see her work online at danaparisi.com and the Etsy website at etsy.com/people/danaparisi.
About “In Bloom”
Dana’s original design featured a full color spectrum of flower petals. The finished product evolved to feature entire flowers, all of which bloom from native Illinois plants or plants that have been integrated into our ecosystem. Dana hopes that the bright palette and cheerful subject matter of “In Bloom” will bring warmth to the viewer’s experience.
