During the months of July and August, the Great Clips salons in the Chicagoland area helped to raise over $20,000 through their “Have A Heart Campaign” for Ronald McDonald House Charities® of Chicagoland & Northwest Indiana (RMHC®-CNI). When a customer donated $2.00 to RMHC-CNI, they wrote their name on a heart flyer to then post on the salon window. The customer also received $2.00 off their next haircut for their donation.
All of the donations received will be going toward building the world’s largest Ronald McDonald House® right here in Chicago! Another exciting element for this year’s Have A Heart Campaign was that every donation made was matched by the Dr Pepper Challenge making it the biggest year to date!
The pictures seen below came from the Naperville Great Clips salon, managed by Stephanie Forshee. Stephanie and her staff raised over $2,000 for the new House and helped to raise awareness about the mission of RMHC-CNI. She explained that they enjoyed being creative with displaying the heart flyers on the salon windows in the shape of hearts.
RMHC-CNI is truly grateful for our partnership with Great Clips facilitated by Jim Petrowich, President of Chicagoland Co-Op, and Sandy Prohammer, Director of Public Relations. Their continued support and dedication mean a great deal to RMHC-CNI!
