This past year, Ronald McDonald House Charities of Chicagoland & Northwest Indiana celebrated two major milestones!

In February, we opened our new Ronald McDonald Family Room in Edward Hospital – the first Ronald McDonald Family Room in Illinois!

Our Family Room serves as a haven of respite and hospitality to families whose children are in treatment. 

Then at the end of June, we celebrated the Grand Opening of our new Ronald McDonald House near Lurie Children’s – the largest Ronald McDonald House in the world located right here in Chicago!

Located at 211 East Grand in Streeterville, the new House supports the needs of families whose children are receiving treatment at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago & the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago.

Now, we can keep 140 families together each and every night at our four Houses and Ronald McDonald Family Room! 

Over this past year, we were able to provide over 31,000 family nights saving families $7 million in hotel costs.
