Cookies from the Heart at Ronald McDonald House near Loyola University Medical Center

‘Cookies from the Heart’

Volunteers prepare some sweet treats for our families to enjoy

Nothing beats the smell of homemade cookies baking in the oven to remind you of home. Cookies from the Heart volunteers plan their treat, purchase the ingredients and bake in our kitchens so when the families return from a day at the hospital, they can help themselves to a treat or two.

Cookies from the Heart volunteers work as a small group (up to 10 people) to make any type of treat, from cookies and brownies, to rice crispy treats or puppy chow. We ask that volunteers make two to three dozen of the treat they decide.

Step 1:

Visit our online calendar and choose three available dates. We can host Cookies from the Heart volunteers from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Dates marked as ‘open’ are available.
