‘Cookies from the Heart’
Volunteers prepare some sweet treats for our families to enjoy
There is nothing better than coming home to the smell of fresh baked cookies in the kitchen. The treats you provide will be a comforting snack for the 16 families that stay at our House each day to be near their child in the hospital.
Cookies from the Heart volunteers work as a small group, between two and ten, to plan their treat, purchase the ingredients and bake in our full service kitchen. You can make any type of treat you’d like, from cookies and brownies to rice crispy treats or puppy chow. We typically ask that your group prepare 2 to 3 batches of the treat you have decided to make.
Visit our online calendar and choose three available dates.
The time frame for this program is 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. but we can occasionally provide other time options, feel free to call us directly if your group requires a different time frame. On our calendar, available meal times are listed as OPEN.
If a day or time is blank, that means that there are other activities going on in the House that preclude our hosting a baking group at that time.
